Our poo bags are certified fully compostable, unlike many others that claim to be ‘biodegradable’, but are mostly ‘oxo-degradable’. Heavy metal salts have been mixed into ordinary plastic to make it, under certain conditions, to break down into microplastics. But that is no bio-degradation! The microplastics contaminate the soil. As do the heavy metals that are released during the process.

Because of the danger of spreading the dog roundworm, it is not recommended to throw dog poo in the garden composter. For the same reason, don’t leave it behind in nature.
